I know I haven't blogged in a long time. This weekend might just be an example of why ... Friday: Figure out the vacuum isn't working, try to fix it, scratching my finger. Pick up holds at the library. Saturday: Michael fixes vacuum (the filter was clogged. Again. You'd think that I'd check that before taking the whole friggin' thing apart, by this point). Buy new filters. Watch movies from Blockbuster. Wash cars (missing a few spots, but don't the wheels look so much nicer?). Grudgingly welcome a visit from Auntie Flo. Make chicken nuggets. Try to figure out why my computer is crashing (since I REALLY don't buy this "hardware error," mainly because there's no new hardware in the last six months plus). Troubleshoot while speedily backing up the kids' baby pictures. Then, go through, opening Internet Explorer and Firefox at the same time. We're safe. Open Firefox and iTunes ... after the crash, try something else ... fuss and gripe. Wonder how much is related to PMS. Repeat. Sunday: Reinstall iTunes. Remarkably, after all this fuss and grumblings, the problem has disappeared! Imagine that! Vacuum. The belt breaks. Find other belt in first place I look. Replace belt. Vacuum the kids' room. It's working! It's REALLY working! So, yeah. It's been a little crazy. And that's when I'm NOT playing games on MSN. :P But, my best quotable (of myself, of course) this weekend was while Michael and I were watching "The Scarlet Pimpernel," starring Jane Seymore and Ian McKellen. Me (to Michael): If you ever say "Sink me," I am going to punch you in the gut. Michael: If I _ever_ say it? Just once? Me: Well, if you repeat it and say it in that tone. Still, it's tons of fun to watch movies with Michael. We can even mock movies that we love, as long as we're together. Or he might ask me, all fake-sympathetically "Are you crying?" ... and if I really am, I'll respond, "Shut uh-up!!" (then he's a little surprised that I'm such a sap ... but there you go.) But, yeah. That's what's going on. Mostly. Technorati Profile
