We're recuperating from the frenzied excitement of Thanksgiving. I'm getting over a cold (and learned that ginger ale up your nose ... and all over your clothes, thanks to crazy Black Friday traffic ... can really clear your sinuses). The kiddo-brigade LOVED Thanksgiving with a passion that few can achieve. EATING, eating, eating. They loved everything, pretty much. Bruce didn't eat the sweet pickle slice he had ... but he did suck all the flavor out of it. Zoë gave me the look of horror over a bite of sweet potato pie (even though she LOVES sweet potatoes in all other forms proferred. Who knows?). While feeding Bruce in bed a few days ago, Zoë squirmed her way in and started suckling away. Little piggy-girl. It was just like a piglet would do. Obviously she was far too hungry to be my sweet girl and wait her turn. But Bruce seemed fine. So she got away with it. Thanksgiving evening, we visited Dad and LaVonne. Zoë got quite the bruise from falling into the leg of LaVonne's table. Oops. It's almost gone now. WE GOT SNOW THIS MORNING. This is the first snow that Zoë's raelly seen. (She was so young and napping the last snowfall ... which was nearly a year ago. It was February or maybe March. I think it was closer to March. But still ...) Michael and I took the kiddos out to the front landing to see the apartment's courtyard flocked with powder. Bruce loved it. Zoë was intrigued, too. I've noticed that I'm much, much freer on this blog than at my MySpace blog. Mostly because most of the people I know IRL are on MySpace. And so I shouldn't blog so much about married stuff and girly things and things-Michael-says there. So, if you're reading this blog, be aware that you get all the good stuff. Like how, Friday, when I was out with a couple of my girl friends from high school, M remarked that she was bad (she had sex) so God sent her a baby. I immediately responded, "Wow! I wonder what I did, since I got two!! Where was I? What naughty things don't I remember doing?" And R, M, and I all laughed. The other blog doesn't get that info.
