Halloween morning - 3 A.M. Hour: -Get the screaming princess out of bed just as she wakes up her brother. -Nurse the princess on my side of the bed, turned away from husband so he can sleep (we hope. Since she is a noisy night-eater). -She nurses herself to sleep. Four o-clock hour: -Zoë stirs, sits up (waking me up) and does a head-first flop and simultaneous burp (thankfully no spitting up) onto my pillow directly next to my head. What am I thinking during all of this? When her head flops onto my pillow: Guhhhhn ... wha?? When she headbutts the wall: Oh that's gotta hurt. Don't scream, don'screamdon'screamdon'scream ... When she, for lack of a better word) leaps over me and onto Michael: What the?!?! What the freak is she doing? Yes, my life is not quite as dull as you might think for a near-hermit. :P But I'll admit, I'm looking forward to Zoë getting over the schedule change (from the switch to Daylight Savings Time) and sleeps through the night again. Or at least until maybe 5. Especially since I'm finding it hard to fall asleep until close to 11:30. Depressing.
