Title du jour:

"Show me the works!"

Well.
So, I went to the consult for the laser hair removal. Even with $325 dollars of credit (the drawing winnings plus a coupon just for having email), it'd be over $500 out of pocket JUST to get my armpits done.

After I stopped laughing hysterically (in my head, of course ... I don't want them to know that I'm a TOTAL loon), I told the naice lady that I'd have to think about it.
Nice things: My credit there never expires AND is trasferable (if I have a friend who has a few thousand dollars to toss around and an intense, burning hatred of Mr. Razor). Also, if people go in, buy a package, and mention my name at any of the centers (in 50 states, plus Puerto Rico!), I can earn credit. So, five of you out there, spend money and I can have my lower legs done ... and maybe my armpits, too! But no pressure. I can handle shaving if need be.

ALSO, we bought Season 2 of House, M.D., which is OUR show that we watch quasi-religiously every week. The bonus material on it was pretty sweet. I have a soft spot for the Valley-Girl-style alternate takes given on this season's discs. Michael and I always love bloopers. And these are better than most, since the profanity was bleeped out (especially better since the munchkin brigade was right there in the room listening to every bleep).

Finished Ella Minnow Pea. It was cute (YA fiction), but I prefered (as far as books made up of people writing to each other) Sorcery and Cecilia -- or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot. But that's just me.

Any great ideas on stretching a dollar past the point where it screams? Oh, no reason. None at all.

Also, I realized that if I don't have at least 1L of water, I feel like I have a post-nasal drip-ish sore throat. That and I don't have to pee for hours and hours and hours. TMI, right?
